Admission Policy
1. Tours will be conducted any time during the year. Please call to arrange a tour for you and your child to see if our school is the right fit for your child.
2. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be dated and kept on file in order by date received. A copy of our admissions policy will be distributed to all applicants.
3. Decisions for composing the classes will be made during January. The following guidelines will be used to create the classes, and are taken into account comprehensively when composing each class.
- Siblings of current BHN students are given priority.
- We try to achieve a fairly even balance between boys and girls in each class.
- For financial and classroom stability, we try to have 50% day care children in each class.
- To encourage long-term community support of the school, we give consideration to former BHN families and applicants who reside in Bolton Hill.
- (Proposed but not ratified) We reserve a place in each classroom for a family whose tuition is supplemented by Victoria Brown Fund for Families.
- Once other factors are taken into account, applicants are accepted based on when their application was received.
